     The past two days I have been terribly fatigued.  We were on vacation (complete relaxation) for two weeks and when I came home,  I had the wash from Hell.  Have to make sure I hit a laundramat next time we're away for two weeks.

     I also have a hard time falling asleep and have the itches..lol.  Maybe I should have my blood checked out?

Fatigue is normal for your first year post surgery. Maybe you tried to do too much yesterday and over did it? Be sure to stay well hydrated, and not by drinking only water. Eat salty snacks, and rest when fatigued. I napped every day for the first full year post surgery.

     Thanks Sue.  You are probably right.  I was always a  fireball...cleaning, cooking, working part time.  It finally caught up with me. mad

Christine, I have also been soooo fatigued and itchy. YIKES just about drove me nuts, itching at night and trying to sleep. Anyway, I went and saw my primary doctor and she did some blood work and it came back that my b12 was low...so, I have been getting injections of b12 weekly and in 2 more weeks she will do more blood work.

I still have periods of itching, but not as bad as it was. She also told me to take claritin since I can't take benadryl or atarax due to side effects. Luckily, I had no side effects from the claritin and it is OTC now.

I am still fatigued and take a nap on work days, but I hope this goes away as soon as my b12 levels get to normal.

so being low on B12 can make you itchy? I just started getting itchy on my chest and neck quite randomly last week and i have no explanation. I wonder if i should get my levels checked now. I'm sure its low along with other vitamins cause i was so sick before my surgery.

I get wiped out pretty easily too. I try to not have lots of things to do back to back so i can have a busy day and then a lazy day, kind of like alternating work out days. :)

After my second surgery I itched like crazy. It was mainly my stomach and legs. It finally went away a week ago. I wonder if it has something to do with the anasthesia? Also, I've been very tired too but I think mine is just from the surgery. I need at least one power nap a day and it is easy to overdo it. Glad to hear you are doing so well.
