airport security

On the support website someone told of an airport incident where they were required to expose their pouch for screening. Someone else added a Fed site that says they can't do that. A lot of other information on the site.

thanks Dan, the screenings will be 'interesting'...

This is my plan for if I ever have to board an airplane. If they want to see my pouch, first I show them the document that says they cannot require me to do so. Then I will tell them that I will, in private.

I haven't seen anything that a male passenger will be "groped" only by a male "groper" and likewise for female passengers.

I went in to the United Ostomy Assoc of America website. On the home page there is an area about the TSA.

If interested, there are Travel Communication Cards you can print off. You can type your name & condition in first before printing on the blue colored card for the TSA to show BEFORE entering security "potential pat down" to alert them. It does not exempt you but alerts them and you can always request privacy if they wish to. There is also a "Gotta Go Now Restroom Access" card you can print off to show if needed in flight if restroom access has been limited. FYI
