how do you know if you have a blockage?

     I am still having output but for some reason, my stoma is sore today.

when i have an obstruction, it's not the stoma that hurts, it's my abdomen-the inside guts. very painful :( like i don't want to move painful. I can feel the gut moving, b/c the pain radiates the intestine (does that make sense?)

When my stoma hurts, it's usually b/c I've overworked my abdominal muscles, and i think it irritates the stoma since it's sticking right out through the muscle.

     It's much better this morning and I did notice a bunch of gunk that must have passed during the night.   Last night I had creamed spinach at dinner and the strands that came out looked like the strands in the spinach.  I try to chew thoroughly, but guess some of it just slides down.   I'm glad it came out though .
