HELP blood in stool

 

 We are jus 10 days after takedown.  Daughter feeling great.  Wouldn't known she has just had 2 major surgeries.  Their is blood in her stool.  She had just told me it has been their since we came home.  Called the hospital and talked with the doctor on call.  He said it was normal to see some streaks of blood.  First stool this morning mixed in.  Next stool was more noticeable.  If it is normal how long would the blood last and would it be in all her stools. Also their is no other symptoms, no fever, no vomiting.

 Disneynut, I know you just had your takedown a couple of days before her, are you experiencing any blood in your stool?

Just talk to your surgeon and see what he/she says.... The first few weeks after take down I had small amounts of blood every few times I went. and then about a month or so after I had about a week span of MAJOR blood, more blood than I had seen even WITH u/c and I was absolutely scared to death!

The first part of the blood was normal they said, it's just everything still healing, the surgery is a very long and intense surgery, so there is definitely some healing to still be done. Now the second LARGE amounts of blood was actually an internal hemmorhoid they believe. They stayed up with me and kept track of what was going on and everything cleared up on it's own. I'm now about 4 months out of surgery and am living absolutely normal. Actually about 99 percent back to how was even pre-UC, planning on getting back on my dirt bike and get back into racing motocross soon!

Dillon also had some bleeding with just about every BM the first while after take-down. The surgeon took us this was completely normal and that with time it would stop. It did stop and he has had no issues since

She is doing great.  If difffers from day to day, but I don't think she has gone more then six times a day. That has been the most.  She has been sick for so long and nothing ever worked for her I am just waiting for something to go wrong.  She can hold it her stomach doesn't hurt.  We were just talking today, How easy it has been for her I wish she would have done it awhile ago. I think the last few nights she hasn't even got up at night.

Thank you for all your encouraging words during her surgery.  I know you know what it is like when I say I have my daughter back now.  I have to watch myself and tell her she needs to slow down a little, She hasn't been  able to enjoy her teen years and now she is making up for it.
