Hello,
Was wondering if they're are any pics of some of the girls on here in normal clothes and swim suites I have my upcoming appt with my Colo surgeon and I'm sure as most of the girls who come here is the 1 thing we're most freaked out about is the clothes thing would really help!

ditto what Summer said, I've got tons of me recently since I'm finally able to live my life again. No swimsuits though as I just had my first surgery last fall. You can email, or find me on Facebook, Betsy Hathaway in Cincinnati Ohio (I'm oddly not the only betsy hathaway on there!) Just say your from here so I don't delete you on accident!

oh yes, and bigger undies and undershirts will be your new best friend. They cover the bag completely no wrinkles and they help hide my not so flat tummy :)

I don't have many pictures of myself post-surgery yet, but do have a few... nothing in a swimsuit though. Still need to go shopping for that clothing item. I will try to find some photos this weekend and email you a few. Until then, I posted a couple photos on the Uncover Ostomy Facebook page. I am the snowboarder in the pink jacket:) You don't have to be a member of Facebook to look at that Facebook page.

Seeing other women looking normal makes me feel more confident about this descision ;-) I really am struggling with the jeans thing I'm just not sure how that would even be comfortable but that I think is what I'm most concerned about all my other clothes are really not that fitted but my jeans are and I love my jeans!

You saw me in jeans so you know it woks! You won't be able to wear them for the first month or so cause of the incision. The most important thing about your jeans is that you wear them to your marking! Make sure your stoma is in a good place for them! Ask to wear a sample bag home and see ifits gonna work if itdoesnt go back for another marking!
