I am a new colostomite by 3 weeks. I am looking for the best way or method to deoderize my pouch and room after emptying my pouch. The smell just hangs in the air and my wife is going crazy over the smell. I use to have gas prior to surgery but this so much stronger than before. Just looking for best solutions to take care the smell. I have looked on the blog and haven't seen anything about this. What works for you. Thanks for the advice.
Obviously you stunk up the bathroom since you were a little baby, did you worry about
it then or up until you obtained your ostomy? I have been an ostomate for 4 years and continue to stink up the bathroom. The way I look at is, My crap stunk before, it stinks today and will stink until the day I die. I spent alot of money on bag "lube" and started using a "splash" of hydrogen peroxide, and then it occured to me that my wife and boys stink up the bathroom and so does everyone else. give them the courtesy spray of lysol on the walk out and hold your head proud that you can stink up the bathroom in a few seconds, and will not have to sit down in a public restroom (unless you want to) to drain your appliance. Good luck bud!!!!
