i'm not thinking of getting one, im just curious about how people empty in public. i know the irigate it with a tube thing, so how would you carry that tube thing around?

i don't really know, but i assume it is possible to fold the tube and put it in your bag and irigate when needed..? i think there's a whole forum for ppl with bcir/k pouches. i think suebear has the link for it, maybe she'll check in here and give it.

I'm not getting one, I already have a bag, I was just curious about something. I don't think anyone on this board regularly has one. Try jpouch.org for some people with personal experiences!

They carry their tube in a small bag. This is one of the reasons why I did not opt for this surgery; I don't even carry a purse and the thought of lugging supplies around was too daunting. However, I understand they only have to intubate 3-4 times per day.

We don't even have a surgeon who does this in the UK any more. It's very rarely done and according to a Professor I saw along the line, said it was prone to lots of complications. I know nothing more about it than that..
