I went back to work today - and just by chance it was exactly 6 months since I was last at work.
Amazing how quickly the time has gone - especially the last 4 months out of hospital. I'm looking forward to working and getting some money!
It's been a crazy experience and I must say that whilst reading some of the posts/stories/experiences on this board and others have scared me greatly [and still do!!] I'm thankful that there are people out there to answer a newbies questions and provide their own experience.
So - please pat yourself on the back.
Thanks,
smackie
[btw - there'll be plenty more questions to come!]

Congrats on getting back to work, hope it goes well. I am easing back in myself. It's nice to be out in the world that way, although occasionally overwhelming....

Congrats, I have recently gone back to work after having 4 1/2 months off for a bad CD flare. It was great to be back but overwhelming at times as so much had changed had to spend first week reading and relicencing.
I'm lucky in that we have a phased return policy and this is individual to each person so you work the hours you feel comfortable with. I did 3 weeks of reduced hours, gradually increasing them each week and had last week off as holiday and should been back to full time again this week but have managed to catch summer flu as feel rough as hell but determined to not phone in sick so finished 2 hours early yesterday and as long as don't feel as worse will do same tomorrow.

Congrats and hope that your return will make you that much stronger as it's giving you a new purpose after 6 months of caring for your body!!!
