Help! Away on vacation and need to change system

Hey all! Im anew osteomate traveling for the first time with my ileo. I'm on a business trip and had thought my usual wear time of 4 days wouldn't be compromised but I'm feeling like it looks like I need to change today! Have everything but DID forget my plain non anibacterial liquid soft-soap. I have a 2 piece hollister system and use allkare adhesive remover wipes. I had been told to then clean the adhesive remover away with some soap and water. What should I so without my soap? I have a bar of dove moisturizing soap but I'm thinking that's no good..? Any tips! I can't get to a store without making a whole big production out of it either. I'm confined to the hotel gift shop basically ugh. Will just water work? Should I just go without the adhesive wipes (ouch)? Thanks a lot!

I take my bag off (push the skin, don't pull the bag) and hop in the shower and then use nothing but water to cleanse the area of excess adhesive. However, I don't use adhesive remover so not sure if plain water will do the trick for that - only one way to find out though if that's all you have :)

PS Usually the hotel will leave you a small bar of soap with shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom? That should work fine.

I use just plain water and don't use adhesive wipes either. I just use a wet washcloth in place of the wipe. You should be fine. It's only one change.

I would skip the adhesive remover this time. I didn't use adhesive remover at first, but have recently started to as my skin became so irritated when I pulled my wafers off without it. I also use the Allkare wipes, but they do leave a residue that is impossible to remove without soap, and that could definitely keep your pouch from sticking.

I have the same issue when I plan to change during backpacking trips, as it is hard to clean with soap and water adequately out in the wilderness. I plan to skip the adhesive remover in those cases and just pull the wafer off carefully. It is only a change or two without the wipes.

if your system is ready to change, it should peel right off, if you have a lot of gunk left on your skin, then it would have stuck longer. by the time i change mine, it just pulls off, i rarely have anything on my skin at all.
