Tracy...Praying for you...hope all is fine....i really want to now how you are doing as I am seriously thinking of doing the same as you next year. I want a mini tummy tuck. I am still am afraid of going thru it again as I don't want more surgery but cutting my base plate into an unusual oval is getting old and I can't even expell any mucus from my rectum. UPDATE ON TRACY,

All went according to plan. The new end ileostomy stoma ended up being on the same side but lower down so she can wear pants more comfortably and the peristomal hernia at the site of the old loop stoma was fixed. Colon removed. Tummy tuck done. More adhesions lysed. Still has an NG tube that her husband thought was put in while she was asleep. Is having post-op ileus as is the norm for these things. Today kind of rough. BUT, he said one of the first things she asked about when she woke up was "did they do the tummy tuck?" She has what sounded like an indwelling epidural to keep her comfortable which he said she really likes. Those are good, I remember. I didn't want to keep him too long on the phone as I realized he is likely tired too; surgeries are hard on a whole family. He seemed very nice. So all is going along, and so far so good for this early post op.
