Hi everyone. I check in once in awhile but rarely post. Glad so many are doing well. Hope the rest of you start feeling better soon.
Bratcat just had her 3rd yearly pouchoscopy (can't believe it's been 3 years already!). She is doing really well. She seems to have a bit of pouchitis but the doctor isn't too concerned. It's her first real time having it. She has had a 24-36 hour blockage from time to time but nothing that didn't clear up fairly quickly and easily.
Bratcat just finished her 2nd year at college. She's on her way to being a teacher. She joined an a capella group at school and loves it. Each club/group at the school chooses an organization to raise money for. Usually they choose VH1 Save the Music. Well, spring semester the girls (unbeknownst to Bratcat) raised money for CCFA. They learned about her story and surgery and it really moved them. They raised $400, not too shabby for a small school. They donated it to the Take Steps Walk we just did. Bratcat raised over $1000.
So for any of you wondering if those early days of the j-pouch are worth it, hang in there. Here's hoping you start enjoying life again soon like Bratcat.
