I have a question. Who has ever been diagnosed with this? Currently, I am getting a little frustrated again. I had my total colectomy this year, original surgery June 2nd, got home and no poop. Then, I was rushed into the hospital a week later to find out I had hematoma in my abdomen, and I was cleaned out from all the stool that I had not released in 2 days. When I got discharged from the second stay, I had the same problems with pressure, bloating, and having imcomplete bowel movements.
Currently, I am try things, but the only way I go to the bathroom is by taking milk of magnesia (miralax wants to work, but just makes me more bloated, and can't get it out), or if I get some pressure to use a little bit of liquid from an enema, or use a suppository to release the pressure. However, what really bothers me is this constant gas and bloating. I so trapped with gas all the time that never wants to release or comes out at random moments, gets worse as the day progresses and more food and drinks I put in me. Also, when I do feel clean, and eat just a little bit, I get pressure down at my lower left abdomen like something is pushing against a closed door. I did have the anal-manometry test finally after my surgery, which revealed my anal sphincter muscles are weak, I guess.
Even if I can get relief, what bothers me is that I try to watch my diet during the day, but still get bloated. Also, I feel it is worse, since things travel through me faster, especially with no colon. This next Thursday, August 18th, I am going to start biofeedback, but I just wanted to know what other people's experiences were with this outlet disorder!
Oh, I forgot to add to that it feels like my intestines spasms a lot because I think it the gas and stool is trying to push out, but won't! It has been hurting lately. Also, I am still having some problems peeing. I think it is because my rectum is right next to my bladder, pressure on both areas. What I do think is funny, my rectum is fine, but still no stool! Can an anismus be that bad to still cause an outlet disorder?
