mrsa in stoma

Hi everyone, I had a hemi colectomy done 3 weeks ago, and i have a colostomy bag. I wa transferred from the hospital in the capital city back to my local hospital after the surgery and discharged from the local hospital. Well now it turns out i have mrsa in the stoma site. I am seeing a specialist nurse tomorrow to discuss it. Just wondering if anyone ever had this and if so, is it very serious or easily treatable, thanks.

Thanks, i seen the disease control nurse today at the hospital and their solution is to just do nothing, and they think it will probably go away by itself!!! I found this a bit odd, as surely they should do something when mrsa has been detected in the stoma site, but apparently not unless i start getting really sick. But will keep those in mind if they are needed.
