Hi everyone
I wondered if anyone had any thoughts or experience of prucalopride / resolor please?
I had most of the left side of my colon removed last year and had a rectal prolapse correction - rectal prolapse has corrected brilliantly - very happy to chat about
this if anyone's concerned
When I had all tests before my surgery they found my small intestine was quick and my colon very slow - lady who did colonoscopy said my colon was like a giant carrier bag with no tone! I've just had a flexible sigmoidoscopy to check my join which was ok - doc said there was a reasonable amount of room in there - they don't go overboard do they!
but I'm still pretty constipated and look a good few months pregnant. (loving the effects of the kleen prep as I can see parts I've not seen for a while) My consultant said she'd like to try me on prucalopride / resolor as I'm using a Phosphate enema once a week and taking daily Movicol and then 9 movicol's/2 days plus the enema to get any joy and judging by effects of Kleen Prep its not doing the whole job if you see what I mean!!!
Other option she mentioned is removing the whole colon and joining to my bottom (she said we're not there yet) I know I must be very positive about
the resolor which I will be
but if I might say I'm a little bit down at the thought of repeating these enemas for foreseeable future and drinking all this darn Movicol! but I am glad to have something which sort of works but there's a tiny part of me which is wondering how I would be with an ostomie? Is all the stuff ok to keep taking does anyone know?
Am just training for half marathon in hope I get the promised runners trots!!!
