vacuuming / leeking / reversal

hey, I'm new to this site and a bit nervous about even posting seeing as nobody in my real life even knows that I have a stoma. I'm 21 and have a group of friends completely obsessed with looks and so for the last 2 months since the operation i have stayed in my house with my parents on my own in fear that nobody will understand and just think its gross. I know it sounds bad that I think that about my friends but I know what they are like, so I figured online people might be easier to talk to cause they are in the same position as me.
My stoma is being reversed in a couple of weeks, I know I'm lucky that I only have to have it for this short amount of time but it mentally has really been destructive to me, I spent the last 3years of my life modelling so although it had to be done for my health I do feel it's now ruined my life effectivly cause thats out of the question now and thats what my life revolved around. I'm sorry for sounding lame cause I know I'm in a better possition than lots of people but I havent dealt with any of this well and I cant mentally cope with it.

I haven't got on well with the bag from the get go. I have real problems with leeking around the edges of the stoma (not the bag leaking completely) and it is agony 24/7, my skin is raw and red and even putting the cavalon barrior stick on it which isnt meant to hurt, stings so badly. I don't know what to do to improve this or help the skin. I don't sleep at night because I'm in so much pain, I've often woken my mum up on the other side of the house just from crying from the pain. If anyone has anything that they can suggest PLEASE let me know. I can't actually cope with the amount of pain I'm in right now. I'm going to call the stoma nurse on monday but in the meantime any ideas would be greatly appriciated.

My bag has been vaccuming and pancacking a fair bit lately, I only really realised what this was after reading some forum posts, could this be anything to do with why the stoma bag is leaking around the edges?

As for the reversal surgery, I have read a lot of stuff about it being a lot looser when going to the toilet after and going a bit more often. I get that everyone is different but how long does this tend to go on for and how much daily do you tend to go. I'm just a bit nervous about this as I want to attempt to get my life back to as kinda normal as possible asap.
Anything you could tell me would be great.

i dont see why, unless you model for things like lingerie, that you couldnt go back into modeling. i assure you that noone will see your bag or know its there.
as for your leaking and such, it's hard to know what could cause it without knowing what you are doing and what you use. Post your routine and we may be able to trouble shoot for you. i can tell you for sure that the skin barrier will reduce wear time.
