Most recent motocross MX helmet cam video from me... 10 months post surgery! Just showing, anybody looking to get J pouch surgery, there is NOTHING you cant' do!

Did you put the camera on top of your helmut?

Is that what I'll be doing when I get my jpouch? :-)

Thanks everyone! And yes B'Dereh, the camera is a "GoPRO HD" helmet cam.

You can do anything! turn haha

the camera on the helmet has an interesting effect that it makes me feel like I'm on the bike. I'm not a biker at all, but it was terrific fun!
And why shouldn't you be able to do everthing? I think even when we have stomas and bags, we can do nearly everything, and what I haven't done is because I'm too lazy or working too much. I can't think of anything I might dream of doing right now that I can't do, except stomache crunches.
Will you keep posting? I'm going to have a jpouch in January and don't know anyone where I am who has one.

Yeah it is a cool effect how the helmet looks to stay stationary in the video, thank you! But yes, when I had my ostomy I was living a normal life, just kept off my bike which was killing me, just wanted to get the j pouch surgery done and be recovered and strong before I got back on the bike. I just had nightmare thoughts of taking a spill off a jump like the first in the video (105 feet) and landing on my stomach, or having the handlebar jam into my stoma shocked

But yes, I have posted a bit, look through my previous posts to follow my story! Any questions don't hesitate to ask.

A few hours... I was at the track from 11 AM until 3:30 PM. Didn't have to go once yeah

AAAAh. I think it helps to be having a great time and keep your mind off of it.
I haven't been on my bicycle for months, in fact, so long that the air just went out of both tires. Apparetnly any kind of bike will put tension in the abdominals, and we are not allowed to do that with a stoma. So my 3rd and last operation is supposed to be mid-january, and then lets say 6-8 weeks after that I can ride again, so in time for the very beginning spring. I'd just bought the bike a few months before I really started getting sick (UC) and it' just been sitting there since that first summer. I can just imagine ... total freedom in March!

bump!

I had an MX accident around March. Long story short, my collarbone has some new hardware in it :) All healed and back on my bike :) Took a HARD hit to my abdomen to the point that my right side of my abdomen is still numb from nerve damage. Here's a video from this past Sunday :)
