I'm pretty happy right now as I had my reversal surgery on wednesday afternoon. I went into hospital on monday where I had a mild sedation so they could put a camera down the bottom part of the stoma and the surgery they had done before my stoma surgery was a total success, all my crohns has been removed without any residual crohns left and there was no narrowing. I can't tell you how happy I was on tuesday knowing I was changing my bag for the last time.
Surgery went well to reverse my stoma and I have a really neat diagonal line scar in its place. Managed to get up and out of bed to go pee the same evening and was going on walks with my mum round the hospital most of thursday.
I was pretty worried as before I had the stoma surgery they had removed part of my bowl but it just didn't work after and 5days later they had to rush me back into surgery to create the stoma before my bowl perferated, so of course I was concerned this would happen again. When I started passing wind friday morning I'd never been so happy to have farted haha :) everything started working by lunchtime and they let me home that evening only 2days after surgery :) I'm so happy to be free of it now.
Only thing now is I'm terrified of tearing the internal stitches from sneezing or coughing and my stomach is really swollen so I can't do a whole lot but I'm hoping it will start getting better soon. So so happy :)
