LIZZIE UPDATE

I don't think Lizzie would mind if I updated you all. Alli managed to get her connected with a colorectal surgeon at Rush Univ. Medical Center in Chicago where Alli goes to grad school. As Lizzie spent Thanksgiving in an ER, she said it looks like she will be going to Rush on Monday.

Let us ALL hope and pray that this doc can perform the miracle adhesion lysis she so desperately needs and has been waiting for for so long. The years are ticking away on her.

Thanks Christine, she is an amazing girl who has had partial and total small bowel obstructions for I'd say well over 4 years by now? I lose track of time, but jeeze. She gets bounced from doc to doc. Many care and want to help, but don't dare. Others in the past have said words to the effect "all in your mind." Though the recent docs seem to be taking her seriously. I went through what she has gone through for 4+ years for 13 months before I got my small bowel adhesions taken down and my ileo and I will tell you 13 months of being bounced from doc to doc and some saying "all in your head" was MORE than enough for me. I honestly do not know how she keeps going. Has a lot of family, friends, and a great hubby, so I am sure that helps, but she needs an adhesion expert. Hope this one is it. We have thought this before. Fingers crossed that this is "the one."

I know on facebook they are building a new house and she does seem upbeat. Not know how she does it.
