Brian, what new stuff are you trying next? I take it the microcyn wasn't as good as you'd hoped. Sigh.
Such a drag.... and harder because you like to do so much outdoor active stuff. Wish there was something reassuring to say, but honestly can't think of anything. It just sucks.
The way I'm thinking now, for me, is that it's not just a few centimeters on my butt that's the problem.... the reason I'm not healing faster is more systemic. The nurse yesterday told me that any autoimmune disorder can make wounds heal slowly.... and I went in to surgery not specifically because of my gi symptoms, which were not at their worst by any means at the time, but because my immune system had gone absolutely haywire.
So, don't know if it's right, but I'm thinking that my body just needs this time to rest. For me, the bad parts of lying around are in my head, my body is not aching to go out and about more than I am or to do more things ..... so, just resting... see how it goes. I am so tired from years and years of pushing through this illness...
But mine is making progress, although slowly. Is yours still infected?
The nurse said that if mine stops making progress, it's small enough now that they can "go in" and clean up the edges and stitch together. oh boy, another surgery...... but it's making progress now. Have they talked of another surgery for you?
Hope you can find some fun things to do that are actually fun, not just things that are supposed to be and aren't really....
