How do you know if your weight has stabilized after surgery?

I've asked just about all of my questions on here and everyone has been SO helpful. I have one more question that I just can't get out of my head so here I am again:

I had my surgery about a month ago. Initially I lost about 14-15 lbs. I went from about 127 down to 113. I usually weigh myself in the morning and at night, and as can be expected my weight fluctuates depending on what time of day it is and how much I've had to eat or drink...but after this past month when I weigh myself after a shower, it generally clocks in at around 116. Sometimes it is less but it's usually around that #.

I want to be able to buy some new clothes for winter but I don't want to buy them too soon if I am going to gain or lose any more weight. So how can you tell when your weight has stabilized after surgery? for the past 2 weeks I've been able to cut down on my junk food and I've been eating a little healthier and also getting out of the house and walking around more, and my weight has pretty much been at the same level. I feel comfortable at this weight so I am hoping maybe it will be my new normal? But I thought I'd just check and see what other people's experiences were regarding their weight post-surgery.

I had my permanent ileostomy surgery a year and a month ago. I am 5'8" and went into surgery at 119 lbs. My normal weight had been around 132 lbs for years and years and dropped to 107 lbs during my final UC flare. In the month between that low point and surgery, I managed to get my weight up to 119 lbs for the operation. Afterwards, I thought for sure my weight would slowly make its way back up to my past normal weight but it never did. I gained a few pounds and have weighed 122 for about a year. It seems to be my new normal and my doctor said I am fine and healthy at this weight. I too had the clothing dilemma, so at first I just bought new tops. I waited a few months to buy pants thinking I might gain, but once my weight wasn't changing at all week after week, I went ahead and bought stuff. One thing I have to remind myself too is that a colon weighs about 5 pounds so if I take that into consideration, my weight is not that much different than before.

My weight flucuates by 3 stone and 3 dress sizes due to malabsorbtion issues from short bowl syndrome so I have clothes of all different sizes in my wardrobes. Even if the CD is in remission I can lose weight like at the moment the CD is behaving itself but the Lupus is wiping me out so when get home from work I fall alseep and eating is last thing on my mind! So am trying to do all my eating for the bulk of calories during the day and have any a snack in the evening as it is all I can handle.

How do you lose weight with an ileo. All I can eat really is simple carbs and soft protein. My days of fruits and veggies are gone I guess. My fighting weight is 125. I'm at 135. Got to 99 that year I had to live without food. I think my metabolism slowed down and never got going again. Auugh!

I was about 15lbs overweight at time of colectomy, my diverticulosis was horrible and recurring diverticulitis left me unable to exercise. I lost almost 40 lbs while hospitalized for my colectomy (6 weeks). First 4 months I gained 20lbs. Couple months later another 15, but it was winter and wasn't exercising like I should have. Couple months later spring came, started my outdoor activities, and lost that 15lbs.
