Ostobelter Stoma Shield/Guard/Protector
Here is a do-it-yourself Stoma Shield/Guard/Protector that will allow you to wear any kind of clothing including jeans and trousers that require using a belt.
Gives added confidence in day to day activities.
It protects the soma from accidental knocks.
It allows you to lie on your front at night without blocking the bag or pressing on the stoma.
It lets you wear any kind of clothing without worry.
I really wish some firm would take up the idea and manufacture it as I believe there is a huge demand for this type of appliance.
Here is a link that explains it in more detail:

(Sorry, don't know how to place link here - just copy and paste the line of text above into a browser address bar.)
Good luck.

mom2panda - yes it is very similar but mine does not use a belt. I have recently heard from someone who has used Ostomy Armor but says Ostobelter looks better (and cheaper).

Pablo -- that's cool that you're making your own devices. A lot of ostomy products seemed to have started like yours -- someone who saw a need, and then got things manufactured. Maybe you could contact one of those other diy type companies (not a direct competitor) for advice (e.g. the guy who makes the black ziplock ostomy bags etc.....). No personal experience here.
I did look at your website, and wanted to alert you to a mistake. If you have an ileostomy, then the stoma is made from your ileum which is the end of your SMALL intestine, not a remaining part of your large intestine. The whole large intestine (colon) is gone with an ileo (or is still in there, but not functioning).
Thanks for sharing.

Very good idea.I wear my bag side ways ,slanting down a bit and Pull a girls tube top over it (amazon.com ,5.99ea) .this allows me to wear my pants just below the wafer ,and i find it quite comfortable , specially when driving and bending down.at night reattach my 2 piece bag in an up and down position and pull my shorts over it .I sleep on my side with a pillow wedged so that i am not on top of my bag.As a runner I add a ostomy hernia belt between me and the tube top and every thing stays in place. Try this tube top /sideways idea ,you might like it .It also hides the bag well under a loose shirt or top.

Sounds similar to this - www.ostomyarmor.com/index.php
I just had another look at Osto Armor.
The Ostobelter completely encloses the bag and stoma
The Osto Armor just goes over the top with pad things at each side.
Different concept.
