Tomorrow's the big day!

Tomorrow is my second surgery... and hopefully my last! I am preparing myself for possibly waking up with a loop-ileo, but also hoping that the surgeon will be able to do it all at once (he said there's a high chance for that!) and that I will be done done done after this. I am going armed with soft tp and a&d ointment. Today when I changed everything and made sure the skin around the stoma, etc., was nice and clean, I thought to myself, "This might be the last time I have to do this stuff." Wow!

Hi all! Thank you for the well wishes. Surgery went well (and quick- 4 hours). I don't have an ileo anymore! I was in a lot of pain right after surgery, so was on tons of pain meds and out of it that night. I'm not in any pain anymore, except for some stomach cramping, which I guess is good, as I'm still waiting for gas/bowel movments to come. I hope everything will wake up today- I'm only allowed small sips of water/juice and ice chips until then. :( I have a wound vac in, I've never had one before- it sounds like a coffee maker to me. :) Anywyho.... thank you again for thinking of me! I'll update when something new happens (hopefully woken up intestines!)
