We find if the meat is cooked really well...like sausages in sauce, slow cooked casseroles etc. they are not a problem.
However certain hot dogs with a thicker casing he doesn't eat. We had keilbasa brought here yesterday for a party and it had an exceptionally tough outer casing and I immediately told my husband to be very careful.
Even with the chew, chew, chew mantra around here he tries to be very careful. We eat enough meals at home here so if something is too tough to chew and break down, take it out.
A few times I have had seedlessgrapes here and so he can at least get some enjoyment from them...chew them and spit out the skin.
Vegetables are not all that big a part of his diet now so the V8 juice is definitely a good thing to incorporate and good for the electrolytes.
It's been 14 months and still being careful. Had a real pancaking issue the other night during the night...fortunately not a big mess..got up and showered and changed at 7am. He slept on that side which is unusual plus a combination of some snacky things late that night must have contributed to it. Went slow and easy that day.
