Welcome to the forum...you have picked a good place to share experiences with fellow ostomates and j-pouchers.

I know about familial polyposis (?)...when I got near surgery the surgeons conjectured that I had something similar, but thought that I didn't have enough(?) polyps (I had a few that were very large..could not be removed during colonoscopy)...so, they basically said they didn't know what was going on..I was told 15 years ago that I had UC, but after surgeons looked at, and after removing colon, they questioned that diagnosis..if you can believe that!

Anyway, glad you are recovering and getting better...at 22 years old, you can live a long, full life!

I do believe I picked a great forum!

All I really know about familial polyposis is that its many polyps and it took my mothers life at age 28 and I knew I didnt want the same for myself with 2 children and a husband to leave behind.

I am doing very well now. I dont have to deal with pain anymore. Before surgery #1 my stomach constantly hurt, now the only thing thats bothered me is where the staples were.

Welcome, I am new here myself. I came in after your post was edited so maybe you could add another intro type thing. I am sorry you are having to deal with all this at such a young age and with a young family. I also have 2 children and I look forward to a much more productive time with them now that i won't be "sick" all the time and in/out of the hospital!

I plan to make a new post, My laptop is not cooperating with me right know and im not sure why, its only 3 weeks old lol. Thank you for replying, as I have no friends going through this. I have an aunt who has had the same surgery but she is always out of town so I dont really have anyone to talk to.
I am in the same boat, I am looking forward to a better life, I know that I will be so much better after my 2nd surgery, I can be the mom I want to be, Ive always thought of myself as a good mother but I also know that I can be even better without the pain!
I hope you are doing well with your surgeries as well, I am always here to talk, I may not get to the post as soon as its posted but I will ALWAYS respond. I will put my email in my profile if I can figure it out lol
