Hello to all!   It has been a long, long time since I have stopped by to say HI!    Heard Summerstorm was having surgery thanks to Cece and thought I would drop by just for a visit. 

My life is still very busy taking care of my husband, diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) in March of '08.  Currently, he is unable to do anything for himself and on a bipap (like a cpap) 24/7.  I am always within hearing distance.

We have some help coming in about 20 hrs a week, plus Hospice.  I couldn't keep my sanity without them.

Good to see some old "faces" and welcome to all the newbies since I have been away.

Hey Peggy, so good to chat with you over the weekend! Did you see Leah's post about the pain pump not working after surgery? I feel so bad for her! There are a lot of new "faces" here, but I'm sure some of the people you know will pop in soon to say Hi! Hope you have a good day!

Hi Peggy :-)

Relatively a "newbie" around here, but in searching the archives I came across many of your helpful posts to others and feel that I know you, as well.

I am thinking that you are from Ohio?   But, I may have you mixed up with another Peggy on another board.

It is very encouraging to know that you have remained CD free for so long with your surgery.  Gives me even more hope that I made the right decision by choosing surgery.

     Hi Peggy.  I don't think I ever met you on the forum, if I have, please forgive me.  Just wanted to say God bless you in taking good care of your husband.  One of my roommate's, during my hospitalization with UP in 2008, was in the last stages of ALS.  She was such a dear and never complained.  I am sorry I never got her phone number when she left.  She had a wonderful daughter who took great care of her but her husband was a monster.
