Anyone have this happen?

I felt like I needed to have a BM today. I thought maybe I would just pass some mucous, but solid stool a little smaller than a golf ball came out. I do not have the j-pouch yet, so nothing is connected. The nurse said it must of just been hanging out in my rectum all this time. For three months though? I thought this was odd.

I had the golfball poo as well, about 10-12 days after my collectomy. It really freaked me out because logically, it cannot happen, no connnection. The stoma nurse told me it was a bit old thought. So yours really could have been there all that time. Mine was a bit painful, if I remember, or felt really weird.

It happened when I had an end illeo. But that can also happen with a loop. Just with a loop, it still has to be an older piece of poo that was hanging around in the rectum, otherwise it would not have a form (coming from the small intestine).
