CT Scan

So today I had a CT Scan, with contrast, to see if I'm all set for takedown- I had a leak in my j pouch before, as well as the abscesses, so this will show if it is still there, and also check for anything else that might be askew. Oral, IV, and rectal contrast. Fun, fun. I surprised myself by being able to hold the rectal contrast the entire scan, and then as I walked to the bathroom. I told the nurse beforehand that I might not be able to, as my butt is a little out of practice. Tehehe. I hope that being able to hold that today was a sign that whenever I do have takedown I will have fewer accidents than my last experience.

I also had a pouchoscopy (my first!) last week when I saw my surgeon. That was a piece of cake, especially in comparison to a colonoscopy! No drugs, only a small amount of discomfort, and everything inside looked good to him!

I will call Monday to find out the results. If everything's good... then I can schedule takedown whenever I like! Feeling excited/nervous.
