I stretched over the side of my golf cart to shag a ball and while I did not hear it, I still felt a rib on my right side let go. That's what 30 some years of Prednisone does for you. Hurts like hell when I laugh or cough however it's not too hard to avoid laughing when it's hurting. It's the grimacing I don't like especially when trying to sleep. I've had a 8" NuHope hernia belt on order for almost 2 months from Edgepark that would sure make it feel better but since it's a special order I'll probably get it in time for Christmas and they don't feel like doing anything to speed up the process. If I'm not addicted to Vicadin now, I surely will be, before I'm through. Thanks for letting me vent

So sorry, Dave! Sending good vibes your way for a speedy recover
While I don't have a cracked rib, I pulled a muscle coughing and I am in agony, too...I feel for you!!!

Sorry Dave, hope it gets better soon. Did you go to the doc? Can't they give you any kind of brace?

Well you're also 73. Even normal healthy 73old aren't that "solid". Predinsone maybe had some part it in, maybe not.

Yep, I've done the same thing. Two ribs on either side from the prednisone and I was only on it for just over a year. Then my teeth started falling out as well. I know your pain!
