Just got an insurance form after I ordered my ostomy supplies asking me whether I needed them as the result of a car accident, workplace accident, or something else that might make the insurance company not have to pay. They want the form back even if the answer is no.
I think this is about the 4th such form I've gotten in the mail after ordering supplies (in a little over a year). Do others get these? Do they ever catch on that since I didn't need Eakin seals and ostomy bags last month due to a car accident, then probably it wasn't a car accident that made me need this month's supply?
Maybe it's asking too much, but given that this insurance company handled my IBD meds as well as my surgeries, you'd think they might have a clue as to why I need ileostomy supplies.
I know this isn't a very big deal, especially since I have good insurance, but I sure do find it irritating....
