2 months post colostomy: Yesterday evening my rectum woke up and produced a couple rock-hard, 2-month-old stools and a few drops of blood. Don't they flush that thing during surgery? It was emergency.
A few hours later I had a golf ball size hemorrhoid, internal combined with external I suppose, since it hurts a lot. Internals aren't supposed to have feeling. It's not going away. I called the doc's office and left a message. They must leave very early on Fridays. No call back.
I never expected to have hemorrhoid problems with a colostomy! Anybody know if there is any urgency in getting seen?
