Just a little info on what seems to work well and or give my husband a little more security for going into the pool.
He has been using his 3" NuHope Ostomy Hernia support belt. He does not have a hernia...he has been using the 4" belt for golfing but we ordered a 3" one thinking he may like the fit better as the bottom right corner of the 4" belt tends to rub his upper thigh with all the bending for golf. (I just clipped an angled piece off that corner and will overcast sew over the raw edge and I am sure I solved that issue on the 4" belt)
Because he has such a sensitivity to tapes...the sure seals although they are great they are a bugger to get off and his skin doesn't like them.
Because he uses the Coloplast Sensura line which is oval shape his nuhope belt is a custom order. A little pricey... medicare and his supplement reimburses almost 1/2 the cost overall after we pay up front.
Swimming was the only thing that he was reticent about but the 3" belt definitely gives him the confidence and comfort and extra support around the wafer area.
Just passing this along in case this might be of interest to anyone out there.
