Has anyone used this for irritation around the stoma???

My home care nurse ordered it for me but hasn't explained how to use it or when to use it.

I have a powder for yeast, just sprinkle some in my hand and pat it on with a finger where irritation is located only. I don't even cover it with the plastic stuff in the skin protector packets. I haven't had a problem with wafer sticking, but mine always stick too much anyway.

Directions should be on the label.

I had a bit of redness around the stoma and used this twice to help clear it up. Had no idea what it was for though until I did some research!!! Does it work for you????

I believe it does. It also comes in other forms - you can get it in sheets of felt like stuff that can be cut to fit an ulcer or wound. I used the powder when we were trying to heal my butt wound from where I was sewn shut. Did it work for you?

I think so. I was having issues with leaks but since I have switched to the Sensura no leaks. I will change it tomorrow and see if the redness is gone.
