bidets for butt burn

I have used them in Islamic countries, in hotel rooms. That was before all thoughts of surgery and jpouch, but I know that they do the trick as well as the more expensive Bidet seats.
My toilet at home is weird; I can't see any water hook-up on the outside, it seems to be all happening inside the tank. My take-down was 7 months ago and since then I've kept a squeeze bottle by the toilet. Half a liter, with a nozzle top. I carry a smaller version with me at all times in shoulder back or backpack. It works wonders as well.

I was in therapy at the time I got the diagnosis of UC, and the therapist told me I needed to form a tender friendship with my anus, and with everything that came out of it. Washing carefully all the time with water has made us all very close and loving friends!

I also want to recommend psyllium husks, a tblspn or so in yoghurt every morning and late afternoon or evening. It absorbs all the acidic stuff, so that it comes out absorbed into the stool and not on your skin, at least not very much. I've been doing that for months and my bottom is happy. Plus washing with water however you do it.

You're really smart to think about this before surgery. Mine is a seat too, it just slides on a normal toilet. It's heated and the water is warm. That makes a huge difference. A couple of times the power has gone out during a storm so the water and seat haven't heated and when that cold water hit me it was like getting sprayed with ice water. Not fun! I would save for something that heats the water personally. It will be the best purchase you ever make in your life. It will truly improve your quality of life big-time. I've never had any type of irritation since I started using mine. In the meantime, fill a squirt bottle with warm water. Just my 2 cents! 

I bought a Coco 6035R a couple of years ago for around $350 but it's worth every penny since I use it so much. I don't know if they still make that model but I am sure they have something similar. It really was a gift to myself and I can't recommend it highly enough. Good luck!
