Reversal Done

Hey everyone! Just giving an update! I had my reversal at 7:30 this morning, it took a grand total of 59 minutes! We had to get up at 4 so as soon as I got to holding they gave me the anti anxiety cocktail and I was out cold!!
Surgery went better than anticipated!! When I woke up in recovery I was in a lot of pain! They hadn't given me morphine so I finally got pumped full!

I've been on a clear liquid diet all day but been sleeping so much! I have noticed when I've been eating Popsicles and it passes trough my old stoma it makes a "burping" feeling if that makes sense!

So far so good! I am so hungry! Been walking around a lot and hoping my bowels wake up tomorrow!

Thank you! I slept off and on all day and slept through the night, except getting vitals and being checked on every 2 hours!
I started passing gas around 5:30 this morning and it is making my stomach feel much better!
My surgeon stapled the incision half closed and packed between them to let it heal better!

I had a colon resection due to a complication of another surgery. They removed 6 inches of my colon and placed the bag for 2 months to let it heal properly.

Slow and steady while recouping but it sounds like you are well on your way. Congrats...happy holidays indeed for you this year. Nice!
