hiding my bag 101 tips!

I am 5.8 and 124lbs.. thin framed mom of 4 :) When I first got my bag in September I woke up with this huge drainable pouch that hung down to my crotch..as a girl I am just not used to things hanging near my crotch and I hated it! So once home I started receiving all these samples.. I loved the small ones. I tried the non drainable pouches that were small but I like to empty my pouch more often so the mini drainable are for me :)

Finding what to wear is overwhelming at first. So I hope this post will help someone navigate through this phase.
Patterns and stripes hide it well... I know sounds crazy but I have a navy and white striped shirt that is tight and stretchy and you can not tell I am wearing a bag. Baby doll shirts do not hide it well unless you have it strapped down with a tight tank or belly band thingy. I Wear a size medium old navy tank top ( the layering kind sold in a zillion colors) normally.. but since my ostomy I have bought size Xsmall and I wear those under everything! Its tight across my belly and holds the bag snug ( but not so as to disrupt flow into bag) against my belly. I have them in lots of colors but white, black and grey work best for me.. LOVE black its a good color to hide your bag in as well :)
I wear low waisted jeans but not super low.. about 2 in below my stoma.. I live in my skinny jeans and they have a bit of stretch in them. Leggings work great but I find them to uncomfortable over my stoma so I push them down below it. Again I always have a tank top on. I even sleep in one because it keeps my bag tight against me and I can sleep in way I want without it getting in the way and flopping everywhere.
I wore a tight very form fitting navy cocktail dress to a party and yup I had a black tank underneath of it holding down my bag.. no one even knew.. I just emptied it more often to keep it flat :) I swim with my bag and I wear a tankini.. yup a tankini.. I tuck the bottom of the bag in my bikini bottoms and then use a 3 inch piece of water proof tape to hold the top of bag snug to my skin and then my tankini top goes down over my bag.. no one noticed at all.. my bags are skin tone.

There are places on line to buy special underwear etc.. but its all so costly.. Old navy tank tops are 3 for $10 on sale and victoria secret does 5 for $25 2 times a year.. just buy low waisted underwear.. and avoid the plastic bags.. mine from hollister are so soft :) I do not tuck my bag into my underwear though. just between my pants and underwear. For Sex I just leave my tank on and it works great.. my husband could care less about my bag :)
Scarfs are another great accessory to mask your bag.. they hang low and in front of your belly .

If you tape the top of your bag to your stomach you won't have to worry about it flopping over, or having to hold it down with bands. You won't be able to burp it, but I learned the hard way not to do that,lol.

Hey ladies, just wanted to share that American Apparel's friends and family sale is this weekend so everything is 30% off with the code BFF2013... I wish it were *next* weekend so I could go to the store and try stuff on with my new ostomy bag but I have a pretty good idea from all your advice of what I should stock up on -- tight camisoles, right?

Serious question -- would you ever wear a regular bikini with the top of an opaque bag showing and just tuck the bottom into your suit? I really don't like tankinis or one pieces and I don't think I would care if people saw the top of my bag (as long as it's opaque), but it seems like it's just "not done" or something...

Does the bottom cover your stoma/the top of your bag?
