Hi I'm new here not good at typing please bare with me.i was diag with rectal cancer 3years ago it was t3n1 had surgery it went well.they did a lower anterior resection and stapled the rectom back together .Live with a temp ilo for 7 months . Now I am dealing with frequent and small bowel movements the constant wiping causes severe inflammation.
My G.I Dr has me taking a lactulose solution . I have a bowel movement about
2-3times a day but I can be on the toilet for 2-4 hours at a time. I've had enough of it no quality of life at all. I'm looking to get a colostomy done and also looking into doing the irrigation as I do have the major part of my colon still remaining. Any help or ideas ,pros ,cons ,what about
swimming and other recreation activities would be a great help . Oh and about
work I'm in construction and I'm going to be 50 in march .
