Barium Enema 2!

Well after my last post, post takedown problems, I finally called my surgeon. He wants me to have another barium enema, the only catch is the last time I had it, they had to do it 5 times because it wouldn't "go in" and then I ended up having an allergic reaction so I may be in the hospital a couple of days.
Possibly diverticulosis ?? I'm not sure what else he would be looking for! Right now we're unsure if my problems are related to the colon/partial rectum resection or if its due to the endometrosis.

I can't say again how grateful I am for this forum! It got me through some bad times and still continues to help me!

Hello! My doctor gave me the same advice, waiting longer allows that tissue to heal but he ended up feeling comfortable after two months and a good enema result!
My problems started in January so it had been 2 months post takedown at that point. It started with an annoying rectal pain when I had a BM but it slowly got worse so the pain is just there at random times even when I don't need to use the Restroom. Also, I only had a few inches removed but half of my rectum was taken; however, my surgeon wasn't worried about control issues. Since January I will just be doing something and out of nowhere I'm running to the bathroom and sometimes I barely make it. It's never liquid form its always a soft former BM.

I bet you are so ready for surgery! I was so sick with my bag (from the endometrosis and complications) I finally felt good the week I had my reversal! Go figure! I hope you're doing and feeling good!!
