Convalesence time is important, that's when your body heals and regains energy! You can try to get stuff done but if it gets tiring, just stop. It was weeks before I could concentrate on reading, and usually I gobble books every week, so instead I just lay in bed watching movies and series. That was fantastic. You don't need to push yourself to be productive, it's not the time for that. Give yourself this time to heal and let your body get what it needs, which is rest. I ate pretty much anything except for most vegetables, onions, mushrooms and anything with coarse fiber, and nothing that causes gas. You can, within reason, pamper yourself with food a bit too. Even chocolate, if you like that, in moderation. French fries, if you want. I allowed myself some 'junk' at the time because I generally eat very healthily and so a bit of chocolate icecream, fries or potato chips were just for the benefits of self-indulgence.
