Last night I asked about going to the ER for being dehydrated. I got great answers and support. I needed the support to know I wasn't being a hypochondriac which is a family trait starting at Grandma.
Well, I waited until I finished teaching my aquasize class which luckily didn't take much and went home to shower and drove to hospital. Shouldn't have done that was getting more out of it as I drove. Made it and waited....every thing went slow motion and nobody even knew what to do with an ostomy person although in fairness they knew what it was.
Took 71/2 hours to give me three bags of IV and get a GI Dr. down to talk to me. The nausea medicine made me feel sooo much better I was glad to get that. All my electrolite levels were good, potassium, et. but my kidney was shutting down from no liquids? She said it would have been all shrivelled up if I'd have waited any longer. Who knew!
Thanks again for those that helped me out. To all newbies, beware of dehydration!
