Gastrografin Enema?

Hey blksteeda, I had this before my reversal, except they used it to check for leaks in my jpouch, not the colon. I think the process is pretty similar. You lie on an x-ray table and the doctor inserts a short flexible tube attached to a bag of the contrast solution and they fill you up, then they take a few x-rays (will probably have you change positions a few times to get multiple angles -- roll onto your back, your side, etc), then they'll try to get as much of the liquid to empty back into the bag, then you hop off the table and go to the bathroom to expel the rest of it. The whole thing takes maybe 10 minutes. They put a little inflatable basin under me during the process as well to catch any liquid that leaked out.

lol.. if you've done rectal meds or awake scopes before then it's really no big deal. The nurse gave me a big pep talk before mine and the whole time I was thinking "I've probably done a thousand enemas, let's just do it already!"
