slow transit before surgery

Hi. Does anyone know where I should be posting or looking for posts. I have had slow transit for 4 years after period of stress and chronic throat infections. I now have no bms without multiple laxatives. I am on resilor co danthrusate picolax peristene like an enema and sometimes the combination works but then it stops working and I get an infection and a massive flare up of symptoms.
I was told I could have a partial removal of the top of the large bowel as this is where stools are getting stuck. But now I am told I will have to have all large bowel removed.
I have no one to ask for advice the gps don't understand it at all.
Does anyone have a similar condition?
