I am new to this but if I use the adhesive wipes around the tape area of the wafer. It seems to help. Also I turn the wafer into a diamond shape on my skin instead of placing it on like a square. Hope this helps you.

Mario....what are you currently doing now? What type of pouching system do you have? Are you experiencing leaks or is it just not sticking at all?
I use a two piece which I find helps my stoma stick out so the poop goes in the bag not under the wafer as it does with one piece. I used Coloplast but their barriers are plastic making them less moldable to the skin area. I had issues with having them stick and had to use barrier strips around the edge. Currently I'n trying out CovaTech. Their wafer is fabric and adhere to the bend of your ab better.
As for preparing the skin I use ivory soap and water, pat dry, and also use a low setting on the hair dryer to make sure the skin is dry. If its red or bump I use a combo of stoma powder and wipes to create a crust. After applying the wafer I cover it t=with my had for 30 second so it will adhere to my skin. The warm from my hands help. I also use the hair dryer as well.
You can also call the customer care line for the brand you use and they can walk through some options with you as well. Hope this helps!
