Well, it's time for bed and the realisation has just sunk in that after a long 18months+, the next time I wake up, I'll be on my way to the hospital to have my j-pouch construction surgery!!!

Very exciting! So you got cleared despite the cough?
The anticipation is crazy... and tomorrow you just go to sleep and the next thing you know you'll wake up with a j-pouch. It's a crazy feeling. It was harder for me because my first op was VERY smooth and not very painful, but with your history I bet this one will feel like a breeze. Best of luck :)

Not been entirely cleared. Still have to have my assessment when I get to the hospital but I went to see my GP who reckons they may still go ahead with the surgery..... I do feel a lot better, mucus has gone, chest isn't right but I do still have a slight cough.... Fingers crossed
