I am at my wits end! I have had an Ostomy since 1998..Colostomy then Illeostomy. For that last week I have been having 2 Blowouts a day. Needless to say the area around my stoma is RAW!
Anyone else have this happen? It is so frustrating to shower and scrub the paste off your sore raw tummy ( ostomy area ) Then blowout again within 6 hrs????? Grrrrrrrr

Oh no! Sorry to hear that. I would put a call in to the manufacturer of the ostomy supplies you are using - maybe you got a bad batch of wafers, and you would be surprised that they may send you a box or two for free.
Is anything else going on? Change in diet or tummy shape/size? Are you sweating at all?

Does your wafer just keep coming detached from your skin? Have you changed your setup in any way recently? Are you having a lot of gas, or thick output that might be pancaking around the stoma/top of your bag? Definitely worth calling the company in case it IS a bad batch of wafers. Do you have some adhesive remover pads you can use so that you don't have to keep scrubbing at your skin?
