Hi there, I have a painful back at times, not related to GI issues but I have found two things really help:
Topricin, a topical analgesic cream, purchased at a health food store.
Stretching my back with this exercise - lie down on the floor, arms at your sides, bring one leg up at a time, with knee bent, hug your leg by holding it at your calf, pull it tight to your chest and hold for 10 seconds, release, stretch out this leg flat on the floor again. Do the other leg, and alternate between each leg, 10 times each side. Several times a day. When I do this exercise, my back is much better.
I'm sure the above exercise has a specific name, but I can't remember it, I just read this tip in a magazine and was skeptical it would work but it does.
I hope you feel better.
