I have a question...Why would a wound care nurse put a wound vac on a pressure wound that covers both sides of the buttox for two days and then I never see it again?. No one at the hospital can answer my question. Could it be that the patient only has Medicare Insurance? Insides have been re-routed to avoid contamination and infection. Should I confront the wound care or would I be over re-acting? HELP??

Hi, well there can be various reasons why the wound vac was used for only two days. Rather than speculate I think it is absolutely ok to ask the wound nurse, just like you would ask about anything else.
Maybe say something like "I noticed the wound vac was only used for a couple of days, could you explain to me why as I don't know much about these things"
She might have a really good reason, and you will feel better once you have the answer :)
