JP Drains

I have had 2 JP drains since my surgery, June 12. Today has been 17 days. I'm going Tuesday with hopes to have at least 1 drain removed. I'm so scared. How painful will this be when they remove them?

I was also very nervous about getting my JP drain removed! Ends up, there was really no reason to be worried. I could definitely feel it coming out, and it was an odd sensation, slightly uncomfortable, but I wouldn't say that it hurt. If you still have painkillers, take one or two a little while before you go to get it removed if you want, just to help dull any pain there might be. Either way, you'll be fine!

I am still on pain pills as the pain is still terrible. So, I will definitely take 2 before my appointment. Thanks for the news that it won't be that painful.
