I have used Hollister medical adghesive with several different type wafers, such as karaya, flexwear, and some kidn by coloplast- with no worries- haven't tried it with fkextend wafers though- just got my flextend pouches today to try them- hopefully I can use the medical adhesive as it gives a little more peace of mind inthat it creates a very sticky surface so that the pouch will adhere right away- been using it for 20 years (although you're apparently not supposed to use on skin- I've been doing so for many years- would rather have peace of mind about pouch sticking than to worry about cancer- too sick to really care about cancer at this point) The only real 'skin prep' I use is occasionally using liquid bandage spray when skin gets really raw- the raw skin makes thep ouch not want to stick even with medical adhesive, so I use liquid bandage, then medical adhesive over it, and some on barrier itself, and it works pretty good- I just don't trust pouches without any kind of medical adhesive- and too chicken to even try-
