Cant keep food down

Hi team,

Recently I cant keep any food down.After I eat,20minutes later,it comes out in a liquid form.Had Colostomy in April.

no.poop comes frequent and mostly liquid.

When you eat you stimulate peristalisis, the movement of the intestine. It's normal for you to fill your bag after eating, but it's not the meal you just ate that is passing, but the meal prior to it. If you have too much liquid, review your diet. Foods high in sugar, whether that is fruit juice, cookies, or hard candy, are going to make things liquid. Staying away from sugar and adding fiber will help thicken things. Many people like Metamucil wafers for thickening. Take one with breakfast and see how you do.

You also need to limit your fluid intake.

Drinking anything more than 2 litres a day and the extra just comes straight out of your stoma, which can also lead to dehydration - I knowv that sounds backward, drinkng more causes dehydration, but it is trur. I was hospitalised a few weeks ago because of this.
