I'm one of the few, apparently, who had a pretty decent appetite right from the get-go. I did stick with mostly softer foods- soups, toast, pesto, bread, pasta, etc.... I have yet to have any type of blockage whatsoever- not sure if it's due to a well-made stoma, or just luck, cause I sure don't chew 100x! Anyway- I really like the ileo too- mainly because I can walk around now, go on long car trips, etc. without a second thought. Even ride a train or subway! Unthinkable with UC... and I do feel much better, physically- not sure if it's due to being off meds, or being UC free. But I'll take it! After a month or so, changing appliances becomes 2nd nature. Enjoy your recovery! Don't push it, take it slowly!
